La Y vasca As a fast, modern and sustainable means of transport, the Basque Y, new railway network of the Basque Country, will be a mixed network transporting people and goods and connecting the three Basque capitals. Thanks to this infrastructure, the Basque Country will adapt itself to the trans-European high-speed network, eliminating the traditional barrier provoked by the different rail gauge.
